We are a not for profit run by our members to help local women connect through shared interests. We run regular member meetups which are low cost and are dedicated to a specific activity. We also run a popular range of taught classes and workshops, where you can try a variety of activities from drawing to resistance training. We are on looking forward to opening a tool shed in December 2021, and will continue to offer a mix of meetups and taught workshops.
You do not have to be a member to attend activities, simply create an account in our bookings system and you will be charged the non-member rate. To access member rates, you can add a membership subscription in the bookings system. The booking system has a calendar view of all activities at the shed. We do not have our own building, but we hire the Coolum Men's Shed Community centre on the Coolum Industrial Estate for some activities. Check our calendar on the booking system to know when we are open, as it changes from week to week. We are working towards having our own space and building an inventory of shared equipment. This offers women a chance to try a variety of activities without needing to fund or store materials and equipment.
Most of our activities happen at the Community Centre on Research Street. Unfortunately a lot of people end up at the wrong place because some sat navs get it wrong, so we have gone low tech and given you a handdrawn map to help. If you navigate to 'Quanda Road' then go straight over 2 roundabouts, Research Street is the next right and we are in the Queenslander at the end of the road.
