Latest from the shed

We have had a fun, busy year and are looking forward to a break over Christmas. Regular volunteers are taking a break from 18th Dec 2020 to 18th Jan 2021. We want to thank our management committee and coordinators for their efforts throughout the year, without you all, we wouldn't be here.

As we look forward to the new year, we would like to ask you for your thoughts about the shed. We have put together a short, anonymous survey and would appreciate your feedback and thoughts. The survey is open to non-members and members and can be accessed here .

We will be publishing a printable planner in the New Year. If you want direct access to our calendar you can view it here

You can also add it to your own calendar app with this ics link

Current members can still arrange to meetup via our Band App. It's like Facebook without the ads. We have also created a members only Facebook group for members that prefer FB. You can join it here
:-)

Merry Christmas from us all!

About the Coolum Women's Shed
The Coolum Women's shed is a space for women to connect through shared interests. We are a non profit organisation run by volunteers. Our members organise a wide variety of activities including arts, crafts, health and wellness. We aim to keep activity prices low so that women can participate on a frequent basis.  Our members run groups based on their interests, and we also run taught 'workshops' that cover skills we want to learn.

If you want to know more about us, non members are welcome to come to  our various workshops, yoga classes and walking group. It's a great way to find out more about what we do - just book in and add the non-member surcharge. We run member meetups weekly,  fortnightly or monthly including book clubs, walking groups, Loose Ends craft meetup, Colour Crew -fabric dyeing etc.  Some activities are members only, including the book clubs and loose ends meetup - we will say 'Members Only' in the listing .

We do not have our own building yet, and hire the Community Centre at Research Street, Coolum.

The Women's Shed is completely run by volunteers. If there is an activity that you want to see,  members are encouraged to set up a 'member meetup' or a workshop - fill in the form here.

During the lockdown for COVID-19 we had the opportunity to work on our online offerings. We have had women attend our workshops that could never have attended in person.  We intend to continue to offer online activities so that we are able to reach women who do not live in the local area, or can't make it to the shed. We also have a members only area of our website which includes 'catch up ' recordings or videos.

Whether we see you online or in person, we look forward to seeing you soon :-)

About the Coolum Women's Shed

The Coolum Women's Shed was established in 2018. We aim to enhance the health and wellbeing of women of the Sunshine Coast by providing the opportunity to participate in a range of activities including DIY, yoga, arts, crafts and other areas that may be of interest to our members. We are a welcoming and inclusive organisation, and we aim to create a connected community where women are empowered to pursue their interests.
