Our Vision is to create a connected community and welcoming space away from home and work where local women can pursue a variety of recreational and personal development activities and in doing so, feel connected to the local community.
Our space, away from responsibilities of home and work, provides access to shared equipment and tools as well as allowing women a chance to focus on their needs and build supportive friendships with women of all life stages and backgrounds. Members and visitors must agree to abide by our code of conduct and animal policy. We believe that regular participation in recreational activities with others promotes a sense of connection and contributes to a person’s wellbeing in many ways. We use the phrase ‘Connection through Recreation’ to express our purpose but there are many more benefits associated with membership of the shed.
